Fall
All embracing, slowly, slumber bringing,
Veil betwixt summer’s bright sun and winter’s pale moon
Bridging day to night,
Fading earthly light,
Closing the mortal gate,
Opening the immortal gate to within,
Cloak of fiery leaf,
Drawing close over summer’s flame,
Eternal,
And ever-changing.
Come embracing slumber, come veil, come bridge to night,
Come, oh time of fading
Of reaping what spring’s flower has sown,
Come,
Eternal, timeless, change.
Come AUTUMN!
